Palm Names Brodie Keast Senior Vice President, Marketing
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Dec 12, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) today announced that Brodie C. Keast has joined Palm as its senior vice president, marketing. He is responsible for the company's product strategy and mobile-computing roadmap for consumers, mobile professionals and businesses, as well as for marketing and brand-building aimed at expanding Palm's presence around the world and to a wider customer set. Keast reports to Ed Colligan, Palm president and chief executive officer.

Keast, 51, formerly was senior vice president and general manager of consumer electronics at Seagate Technology, the world's leading maker of hard drives. There, he was responsible for product-line management, product marketing and strategy, market development and external partnerships. Prior to Seagate, Keast held a variety of executive positions at TiVo, Inc., the creator of and leader in television services for digital video recorders, culminating in being its executive vice president and general manager of the consumer division. Before his tenure at TiVo, Keast was vice president and general manager of the DLTtape Division at Quantum Corp., selling to business customers. He also held various product marketing roles at Apple Computer, Inc., including vice president of PowerBook products and culminating as vice president of worldwide product marketing, following various management roles at Hewlett-Packard Company.
Keast has a bachelor's degree in computer science from California State University, Chico.
